I enjoyed the music & should’ve arrived earlier to hear more of it. I enjoyed the healing , but perhaps it would be better still in a quieter room. I found the forgiveness workshop enlightening & the hand out useful to keep

Really good way to try out new activities

Thank you was good

I was worried about coming along on my own. However I was made extremely welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the 3 workshops I attended. This event gave me the opportunity to try new things and find out what was available and would be helpful to me in the very near future. Thank you for providing this event.

Loved it – thank you for all your hard work in putting this together

Really interesting nature walk – thank you all

Brilliant selection of activities to try from interesting, physical to fun thanks

Really enjoyed the sessions I went to, but I really disliked the fact that no-one wore any masks in the hall or at sessions. I felt extremely unsafe in the hall even with my mask on and was very uneasy all day.

Wonderful selection of sessions. I am most grateful that the Yoga Nidra was put in place of the Gong Bath. Well done to the person that had the idea to make a replacement. And there was so much space in the Chapel that I did not feel anxious.

I had a fabulous day and enjoyed all the activities I took part in.

Suggestions for improvement

Please provide a quiet room for people who have anxiety etc the music and noise was a struggle

To provide suitable workshops to attract more men that need such support?

Lets hope it can be bigger and better next year when the community can shake off their fear of each other

I would like to know who all the contributors were because we didn’t manage to see them all

Maybe a whole weekend next time 😁

when you ask people to wear masks, make them do it

If the receptionist was able to inform me when I came in that the Gong Bath had been cancelled and that there was an alternative, I would have made me less anxious. I had to find out myself what had happened. However my needs were answered! Thank you.

Yoga Nidra Deep Relaxing Meditation

Sadly due to unforseen circumstances, the Gong Bath and Drum Journey has been cancelled. However, to avoid dissappointment a Yoga Nidra session has been arranged instead.

Yoga Nidra Deep Relaxing MeditationSandy Hector (Yoga teacher and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist)
Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Yoga means union or one pointed awareness and nidra means sleep. During the practice of yoga nidra one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. Yoga Nidra is also referred to as psychic sleep.

Adult Ballet and Tap at the IOW Festival of the Mind

We are so lucky to have Suki Turner teaching a couple of dance workshops this year. Suki’s professional life includes West End and National Musical Theatre tours, on the faculty of Bird College of Dance and the director of her own performing arts school. After being one of the founders of the Dance for Life Long Wellbeing pilot scheme and a current licensee of Silver Swans ballet classes (both instigated by the Royal Academy of Dance)  Suki now offers ballet and tap classes at Carisbrooke for adults and SitFit exercise classes in East Wight (Bembridge and Seaview areas) for those less mobile.
